av98m SG Unlike 1-3, there is a lot of mobility from 4-7, usually downwards. e.g. laid off exec becomes taxi driver. Scary stuff. I think, if I become a taxi driver, I will be the serial killer type, like Simon Yam in that Cat III hong kong movie where he does unmentionable stuff to his passengers.
elindra SG Yeah, that is why I said point 4-7 is usually a downward slide to hell I tend to like to crap with taxi drivers and it's the same old story I used to be a xxx exec for xxx company but due to downsizing I got cut and due to my age, I can only be a taxi driver.

av98m SG Hmm..while we're on the subject, I wonder if the "retirement villages" concept that our health minister accidentally let slip will become reality. I remember reading about something similar..in a Sci-Fi novel written in the 50s In the Judge Dredd comic, old judges are released into the wasteland outside of the city to fend for themselves and die.
the Bear SG hey you collected 2000AD? Judge Joe Dredd the wasteland was The Cursed Earth.. or the Underground... the retired judges were let into either place and was called The Long Walk only Chief Judge McGruder came back... Joe Dredd came back too after they put a flawed new judge on the streets with Dredd's badge... that judge was the clone of Dredd... when that clone failed, he brought with him the 4 Dark Judges and he became the 5th Dark Judge, controlled by Judge Death... i wonder if they still have the comic? it would be good if they reprinted some of the series in there.. i would buy the whole Slaine series
